Vision Care For Homeless People - APPEAL

Christmas 2021 is special. It comes after a particularly tough two years, during which time we have all experienced the challenges and fears of living through a pandemic. During this period our free opticians’ clinics for homeless people were forced to close, meaning that the people we expected to help missed out on getting the eye care they need. We know the many challenges of homelessness are compounded by poor eyesight, so we have been working hard to re-establish our clinics, welcoming back our volunteers to our clinics and opening our doors to patients once more. We have also been working hard to expand to new areas, with plans in progress to open new clinics in Gloucester and Stratford, East London.
Christmas 2021 is a time when we want to acknowledge how hard it has been but also celebrate the progress we are making and ask for help from our generous supporters so we can be there for homeless people in the coming year. We are delighted that Brighton College Choir have created a beautiful version of “When I needed a neighbour” in support of our Christmas 2021 Appeal and hope you enjoy listening to it. Please donate if you can to our Christmas 2021 appeal, 'When I needed a neighbour' to help fund our clinics in 2022. You can listen to the recording here:
