Our very own Jayne Tingle represents local Bromsgrove charity - Lets tackle Christmas together !
Last year the local community came together to support our present appeal and the response was nothing short of incredible. I'm delighted to announce that 'Let's tackle Christmas together' was be back this year and took place on Sunday 5th December at Bromsgrove Rugby Club.

The idea was simple, donations of extra toys and gifts were made which has directly made a huge difference in offering suport for the local children and teenagers.
Once again, we have taken donations for New Starts Bromsgrove, who work tirelessly providing excellent support for families in need within the district. I am pleased to confirm that we have also provided gifts to Worcestershire Royal Hospital for those patients who will spend Christmas Day on the ward. In addition, we have donated to teenagers in care.

Marion Kenyon, Chief Executive of New Starts said 'We are so excited to work with Bromsgrove Rugby Football Club again this Christmas. Last year the toy collection made a difference to over 300 children and their families. It was such a privilege to be able to allow parents and guardians to be able to select toys that they knew their children wanted. There were lots of tears, but also lots of smiles and gratitude for those who had so generously given to the toy appeal. Once again, many families are really finding times tough, due to higher costs of fuel, energy and food and reduced levels of income through redundancies and the reduction in Universal Credit and that for them Christmas may not be all that they would like it to be for their children.'

Sophie Burt, Head of Fundraising and Community Development at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Charity said ‘We are thrilled to work with Bromsgrove Rugby Club this Christmas, spending time in hospital can be tough on children and their families and even more so over the festive period.
To be able to give each child a gift on Christmas day will spread cheer throughout our Hospitals and we are grateful for your generosity.”
Toys and gifts for children and teenagers are accepted but please ensure that these are new items, and they are unwrapped as this makes allocation to families and children easier.

Please share the word far and wide, and if you can, please help support this wonderful cause.

Let’s show once again what the wonderful Bromsgrove community can do and make a difference
for families this Christmas.
