SOC2019 was attended by 250 delegates, 72% from Scotland, 24% from rest of UK, and 4% from Europe. Across the 3 Tracks - 75% were optometrists / independant prescribers, 16% dispensing opticians, and 9% contact lens opticians.
As in previous years vast majority 75% of delegates were from Independant Sector, in addition to a good representation from academic and hospital practice.
The 4* Radisson Blu Hotel enables all lectures, workshops as well as exhibition areas, lunch/refreshment breaks and registration to take place in the one
area (first floor).
Innovative programming allows for an amazing 6+ hours of dedicated exhibition time from morning registration, through mid-morning / afternoon refreshment breaks but most significantly split track lunch breaks of 2½ hrs avoiding the classic long lunch queues thus allowing delegates time to visit the exhibition, to browse and then returning to buy or arrange practice based appointments with exhibitors.
Continued support from existing and new industry partners and exhibitors will enable SOC23 to remain FREE to all, however to ensure delegates actually turn up on the day and to cover the cost of all refreshments plus a superb buffet lunch, a registration fee of £49 will be charged, as in previous years.
