Hello, I’m Stuart Burn founder of Performance Finance and Performance Insurance. I’d briefly like to tell you how and why I began our business so you understand our values and what we wish to achieve for your profession.

Both PF and PI were formed to provide the healthcare sector with truly independent financial products that provide both exceptional value and great peace of mind.

I first became involved with finance in 1986 and began to specialise with healthcare in 1993. As this market developed I noticed the requirements of practices became more expensive and complex. I also noticed that a bank could quickly feel ‘over exposed’ to a client. This would mean that after developing a relationship with a lender, the client would often feel let down by a sudden withdrawal of support or reference to being ‘fully committed’.

This saw many clients having to forge new relationships elsewhere and then juggling several relationships at once to gain the financial backing they required.

At the time of writing (summer 2008) this has become even more prevalent with the current Credit Crunch where banks and lenders have been increasingly cautious.

Back in 2004, it was clear to me that a truly independent approach would serve healthcare professionals much better and by providing the facilities of several lenders we could offer better value for money and improved quality.

By focussing on strong service levels through well trained, experienced advisors we could deliver a long lasting relationship to our clients who will truly appreciate our 4 core principles: Independence, Value, Quality and Service.

2005, saw Performance Finance start to trade and it quickly established itself as a key provider of finance to Doctors, Dentists, Vets and Opticians.

Soon after, I realised the Insurance market had similar issues. There were many instances of professionals over paying, under insuring or simply purchasing inferior products.

In addition, some of our clients were setting up new practices, borrowing heavily from a bank and taking up insurance policies recommended by the same bank. Independence, Value and Quality were immediately lost because the major High Street banks were normally tied to one insurer.

By adopting the same principles; Independence, Value, Quality and Service, my business partner, Lee Morgan, and I set up Performance Insurance.

Our aim simply; to offer the most comprehensive policies at the very best price.

We also want to be there when you need us most so we will provide all the help and assistance required for anyone needing to make a claim. From filling in the claim form to ensuring the insurance company pays you fast and in full.

Both Performance Finance and Performance Insurance are underpinned by our 4 Values and whilst healthcare professionals wish to benefit from these, we will continue to serve.
