Who are we?

We’re Performance Finance, a specialist in providing tailor-made loans and finance for medical professions and professional service companies. Performance Finance comprises of Performance Finance Ltd and its sister company Performance Lease Finance LLP.

Performance Finance is fully authorised and regulated by the financial Conduct Authority under registration number FRN 689894.  Performance Finance is limited by guarantee (no. 4725729) and Performance Lease Finance is a limited liability partnership (no. OC375066).  The registered address for both is First Floor, 5 Kings Court, Kettering Parkway, Kettering, Northants, NN15 6WJ.

How do we collect information from you?

We obtain information about you when you use our websites, for example, when you contact us about products and services, from exhibitions and networking and from communications with our account managers and sales support team. We also obtain information from suppliers, brokers and direct from individuals.

What type of information is collected from you?

Depending on the service required, the personal information we collect might include your name, address, email address, address, job title, employment details, financial details (to include repayment history where appropriate), photo identification, proof of address, professional qualifications, IP address and information regarding what pages are accessed and when and any other information required to fulfil your request.  If you submit a finance quotation request via our website, your details are collected via encrypted online forms and are sent by encrypted email to our controlled mailbox to enable us to provide you with a quote. 

If we take a card or direct debit payment, your information is not held by us, it is collected by our third party processors, who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card and direct debit transactions, as explained below.

How is your information used?

We may use your information to:

• respond to enquiries;

• to provide you with a finance quotation;

• to carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into by you and us;

• to carry out credit reference agency and Land Registry checks;

• to verify your identity for anti-money laundering (AML) checks;

• process a card payment or direct debit mandate;

• seek your views or comments on the services we provide;

• notify you of changes to our services;

• send you communications which you have requested or that may be of interest to you. These may include information about equipment finance offers and other financial services which may be relevant to you;

• to fulfil any legal or regulatory requirements including exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud and money laundering detection and credit risk;

• dealing with entries into a competition;

• process a job application.

How long do we keep your data?

We review our retention periods for personal information on a regular basis. We are legally required to hold some types of information to fulfil our statutory obligations. We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as is necessary for the relevant activity. This period may vary if we consider it necessary for good operational or commercial reasons, or in order to meet other legal obligations.

Who has access to your information?

We will not sell or rent your information to third parties.

We will not share your information with third parties for marketing purposes. 

Third Party Service Providers working on our behalf: We may pass your information to our third party service providers, agents subcontractors and other associated organisations for the purposes of completing tasks and providing services to you on our behalf (for example to process your finance application, check your credit rating and send you mailings). However, when we use third party service providers, we disclose only the personal information that is necessary to deliver the service and we have a contract in place that requires them to keep your information secure and not to use it for their own direct marketing purposes. Please be reassured that we will not release your information to third parties beyond Performance Finance Ltd and Performance Lease Finance LLP for them to use for their own direct marketing purposes, unless you have requested us to do so, or we are required to do so by law, for example, by a court order or for the purposes of prevention of fraud or other crime.

Third Party Product Providers we work in association with: We work closely with various third party finance providers to bring you competitive finance rates. When you enquire about or enter into a finance agreement, we will pass only the required details to the relevant third party product provider who will use the information to process your application and carry out their obligations arising from any contracts you have entered into with. In some cases, they will be acting as a data controller of your information and therefore we advise you to read their Privacy Policy.  These third party product providers will share your information with us which we will use in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We may transfer your personal information to a third party as part of a sale of some or all of our business and assets to any third party or as part of any business restructuring or reorganisation, or if we’re under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation or to enforce or apply our terms of use or to protect the rights, property or safety of our customers. However, we will take steps with the aim of ensuring that your privacy rights continue to be protected.

You have a choice about whether or not you wish to receive information from us.
